The Bianconeri midfielder is confident that Juve are back in form to compete for the Serie A title this season. The Turin giants are unbeaten this season under the leadership of Antonio Conte.
Juventus midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312, is optimistic for the 2011/12 season and believes that the Bianconeri have a good chance of winning the Scudetto. The Turin giants have made an impressive start to the season and led the points table for most of the
first half the season.
However, going into the winter break, Juve are tied on points with defending champions AC Milan, who lead the charts owing to a superior goal difference.
Marchisio gave the credit of their improvement to the new head coach, Antonio Conte, who joined just before the 2011/12 season started. While giving an interview to Reuters, the central midfielder hailed his boss and praised him for bringing the change in
the Bianconeri approach.
The Italian international said:
"Conte has brought a new mentality to the club. One of his merits has been to eliminate the fear which had unfortunately taken hold at the club after years of disappointing results. Conte is called the hammer by some of the players, and there's probably
no better description.”
“The boss knows what winning means and he brings that winning mindset to the club every day based on his own hard-working committed character."
Furthermore, the midfielder reckons that the newly constructed Juventus Arena has had a massive effect on the team, helping them go the extra mile on many occasions.
The crowd sits just seven meters away from the field in the new stadium, and Marchisio believes that the energy from the supporters helps the Lady Killers give their best on the field.
Juventus will now resume their 2011/12 season on January 8 and will play Lecce in their away fixture.
