Juventus winger Simone Pepe thankful to coach Antonio Conte for believing in him – Serie A Update
Juventus winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Simone-Pepe-c33591, appreciated his boss, Antonio Conte, for believing in him to start for the team this season. The winger was an impressive part of the Juve squad in the latest game against Palermo at home where he scored the opening goal of
the game. Juve won 3-0 and reclaimed the top spot in the league table.
Conte has given priority to Pepe this season, and he has featured in every game this season. The winger believes that he has worked hard enough to earn his place and he is thankful to his coach for looking into his talent.
The Italian international was recently talking to Juve’s official website where he said:
“I’ve made it thanks to my character, to my working involvement and thanks to a coach who trusts in my abilities. Last summer when the media spoke about my possible transfer to Zenit St Petersburg, he clearly said you won’t go anywhere. This was very important
for me.”
After the victory against Palermo at home, Juve jumped back to the top of the league table with 22 points from their 9 games so far this season. However, the Lady Killers still have a game in hand and are in a position to extend their lead upfront.
Juve are reckoned to be one of the favourites to be crowned as Italian Champions. However, the winger believes that it is still too early to talk about the future.
“We had no doubts about our possible performance because we know our means and our coach always spurs us. The season is long, we’ve had a good start, but only time will tell us where we can get. Obviously, finding something wrong is hard now, because we
keep the ball and we attack when we can, but we must go on like this,” concluded the winger.
Juve now take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 at Stadio Olimpico on November 26, and both sides are tied on 22 points at the top.
