Jvc I'art television problem

hey there, i have a jvc i'art 32" flat screen t.v and for some reason it wont turn on. i plug it in and i hear a beeping sound with a green light for the "on timer" display on the front. im thinking its stuck on the "on timer" and is permanently shut off, any advice?
