Jvc camcorder plz help me?

i have a jvc camcorder gr-d240ek and i have a usb2.0 cable ..i need to upload the vedios from my casettes to my laptop...i have windows vista..i am asked for a software plz help me regarding the same ...thnks in advance...

The software should have come on a CD when you purchased the camera..

gr-d240ek, a miniDV vcam, must be DV~Firewire400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* application while vcam is ON PLAYBACK.  Before cable purchase** check PC for DV port {VCAM@4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC@4/ 6pin?}. If none, install firewire card: pci for pc or pcmcia / express card for laptop.
