Well...it is strange, I did the cycle you suggested...and it worked fine. The distortion occurs on all the formats, it only occurs when I try to use my "guide" on my dish network, then it does it on all the formats. Does this sound like a dish-box issue rather than a tv problem to you? I appreciate you response and suggestions. don walters
