How long after I file for the K-1 visa should I expect my fiancee to join me here in America? We have meet in her county, have pictures, and over 1 year of communication. What else can I provide to speed the process. Please include any other information I may need to know, and please include the hole time frame issue. Ten point to the most information. And thank you so much!!!

  2. Mine took 7 months from filing to visa delivery. There's nothing you can do to speed up the process when you already have it filed in the nearest USCIS office that covers your state. Some got their visa earlier than mine and others got theirs later than me.But the delays I noticed would be if you didn't send complete documents or proof. That would mean they will be sending you a RFE (Requires Further Evidence). So gather up as much as you can all the proofs and double check all the documents you will be sending. The basic requirement for a K-1 visa are: the US citizen (petitioner) must have the legal and financial capacity to marry, you met in person within the last 2 years prior to filing the petition and proofs of a bonafide relationship. You can learn more about this in www.uscis.gov and you can join forums and meet people of the same situation as you in www.visajourney.com. Good luck.

  3. Ugh, I have the same problem as you, except i want to live in the UK, can't anybody answer your question!!

  4. Expect it to take at least a year from the time you first file.  Of course, this assumes no additional information is needed.  That can slow down the process.
