K.Ajay Kumar trounces Harsheel Dani in Men’s Singles fight at Central Zone Badminton Championships
K.Ajay Kumar, a talented shuttler from India who represents Railways, showed his elite class as he played impressive badminton and overpowered Harsheel Dani of Air India in Men’s Singles fight at the Central Zone Badminton Championships-2012 on Tuesday,
September 4, in New Delhi.
Ajay Kumar, who has been working hard in training sessions for the last few months, showed a great improvement in all aspects of his game and managed to overpower his opponent in a completely dominating manner.
The spirited Ajay Kumar was just incredible on court as he did not miss any chance to maintain his domination on court and remained successful in crushing his rival in straight sets with a commanding margin on the board.
In the meanwhile, the experienced Harsheel could not play with precision as he executed negative shots on crucial stages in the match and ultimately bowed down to his impressive opponent without snatching even a single set.
The starting points of first set were interesting when both players pushed each other in all areas by taking the bird early and remained close at the initial stage.
However, Ajay Kumar changed his game plan and started to play straight and cross net shots which helped him to remain ahead on score board until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute interval in first set, Ajay Kumar continued showing his remarkable tactical play without sparing any room for his opponent.
On the contrary, Harsheel could not stop the aggression of his opponent and remained struggling in the second half of opening game.
The in-form Ajay Kumar remained on track as he did not lose his focus and eventually ended up the set with a 21-17 score on the board.
In the following set, Ajay Kumar showed impressive performance from the opening points as he played aggressive game and easily managed a comfortable gap until the break.
After the mid-game interval, the in-form Ajay Kumar continued his fascinating play without showing any respect to his opponent on court and wrapped up the game in an inspiring fashion with a superb difference of 21-15.
Ajay Kumar won this Men’s Singles clash in two sets with a commanding 21-17 and 21-15 score on the board.
