I'm a high school tennis player looking to upgrade to a midplus racquet. I'm about a 4.0 NTRP rating and I like to hit hard from the baseline. I'm looking at buying either the wilson k blade 98 or the wilson k six-two. Does anybody have any suggestions as to which they prefer?

  1. I think that tennis racket prefference depends alot on each individual.I would suggest you demo each racquet yourself to see which one you prefer. Tennis stores usually offer the option to demo racquets.

  2. Well The KBlade is the number 2 selling racquet at this time only behind the Babolat APD the 1 nadal uses... But I just recently bought this racquet and can see why. It is perfect for good smoothe groundstrokes...Although it does not provide as much power as the APD it provides so much more control... as for the K 6.2 I would say it is very similar to the APD b/c it is very light so you can get a lot of racquet head speed... the K 6.2 is also probably better at the net b/c it is head light for moneuverability (sp?) but my kblade works great around the net.. I would suggest the 98 not only b/c I use it but so do many others so it must be a great racquet

But dont take my word for it demo both either online like at sites such as www.tennis-warehouse.com or www.midwestsports.com or at your local tennis shop

  3. I'd say the K Six-Two isn't near as good as the K Blade 98. Especailly for a basline player like you that likes to hit hard, I'd go with the Blade. Its a superior racket with better control and a more comfortable feel. Demo it and check it out. Check out wilson's website to compare specs. I suggest the Blade 98 though for sure.
