K. J Choi hoping to rewrite history at Players Championship this week
The delectable K.J Choi will be returning to the scene of his glorious win last year, the TPC Sawgrass where he landed the coveted title, The Players Championship last year.
The sturdy South Korean who has done remarkably well in his grizzled career, landed the most revered title of his career last year, when he over took the blistering David Toms on the Playoff.

Choi is hoping that he will utilize his last year’s experience to tame the treacherous TPC Sawgrass and retain the title amid one of the strongest fields to date.
He said, "You have to control your emotions. You have to set your expectations low and not ignore all of the risks that are out there. If you lose one shot, then that could be it. That could be the end of the tournament”.
Retaining the elusive title is something that remains unprecedented in the history of the event since it was first established in 1974.
No player has gone over to win the difficult Pete Dye design in consecutive years. Choi, however, remains adamant that the task is not as difficult as it probably appears to be.
Choi lauded the design and reckoned that the best thing that comes out of the delectable TPC Sawgrass is the fact that it gives a level playing field for both big hitters and good short putters.
He added, "I think this course is good, in a way, because it gives a fair chance to both guys who can hit the ball long, as well as guys who don't hit it as long. So everybody has a chance”.
Choi’s career went to an altogether different level after his glorious win at Players Championship last year.
He went back to his homeland Korea and inaugurated the K. J Choi Invitational and also participated in a whirlwind tourneys all over the world.
Despite of his glistening career, Choi has not won a major event as yet and came close of picking one up on several occasions.
