  1. get the liquid and wipe the brush on the side of the bottle on all sides to remove excess...pull corner of your eye outward and start your line at the inside corner of the eye...press gently...try not to blink and repeat....you will get better with time...my son said maybe i should have mine tattooed on because I don't look like his mom without it...LOL   stay as close to your lash line as possible!

  2. liquid eyeliner on top and pencil on bottom.

  3. Liquid, with a thick tip.

Just to go as close to the lash line then put make up remover on a q-tip and just make it a smooth line

  4. for your lid, liquid is best. pencil rubs off very easily. for your waterline, pencil is best. use pencil only in your waterline. if you put liquid in your waterline it will burn your eyes.

since youre a beginner, start with a felt tipped liner like maybelline's (comes in a silver bottle with black handle). its easier to work with. use your ring finger to stretch your eyelid out flat and you can start from the inside or outside whatever you prefer and keep the tip as close to the lash line as possible. by using the lashline as a guide your liner will come out straight and it should not be wavy.. unless your hand is shaking alot. also..try to do a continuous line so it flows better, if you do it in parts (i.e. inner then you stop and then do the middle then stop etc) it'll look like you did it in parts. do a thin line. if you have trouble with the thickness of the line then keep a qtip handy with makeup remover. just go along your lash line and in the pic it looks as if its around the eye fully so when youre at the outside corner kinda make it go down around your eye so your eye is completely lined.

when it comes to liquid liner..the only secret is PRACTICE! its the only way you will get better. as you get better at applying it, you can move on to using a brush tip like MAC's liquid last (it comes with a very thin brush in the cap). then even move on to cream liners like MAC's fluiline with a seperate brush. fluidline is really my favorite eyeliner, its really great and blacktrack (the black fluidline) is very black and most importantly..stays on!

    good luck!

  5. i just kinda .. put it on.

and then i put makeup remover on a q tip (the one with one pointy end work SO well), and straighten it out ! works like a charm :)

  6. Really, it just takes a lot of practice.  Liquid liner is tough to put on perfectly, but when done right, has a great look!

Try applying it in different directions (ie. from left to right vs. right to left.)  You may even find that different directions work better on each eye.

Once you've done it 20-30 times, it will start to get easier to get straight lines.  You just have to practice holding your hand steady and get used to the feel of your eye.

One thing to keep in mind- no matter how much of an expert you become at putting on liquid eye liner, you can NEVER get a straight line while riding in a car, so make sure you are not moving in any way!

  7. same with what happens to me, but then i juts wipe away the unevenness with my fingertips coz, hey it liqued! but it stays on longer and has a more bold affect then pencil that y i like it

  8. I use pencil on my bottom lash line, and liquid on my top.

Liquid can be really tricky, but you just have to hold your eyelid down with your finger, and put a really thin line on the top lash line. Then I do the bottom with pencil.

  9. it takes practice

  10. I just started wearing liquid eyeliner. I still use the pencil liner on the bottom and only liquid on top. The liquid liners with the brushes are hard to use and you can mess up easily. The one i got is by cover girl and is about 6 dollars. it is a liquid eyeliner pen. you use it just like a regular pencil and it comes out great!

  11. Pencil eyeliner is easier for application, but it smudges. Liquid doesn't smudge as much, but it takes more skill to apply and could easily be messed up if you have a shaky hand.

You can't get it totally straight with one stroke, instead, do it in separate little strokes to make a perfect line - this is a lot easier.

The reason why you might line your eyes w/ a wavy line is probably because you can't see the outer corner lash line of your eye as well as the middle or the inner corner. What I recommend is kind of tugging on your outer corner and apply it like that [it makes your eye lash line flatter so it's easier to line].

  12. That's def liquid liner.  A good way to have liquid liner look good is to apply regular eyleiner first, then trace over it with liquid, and fan out the edges.

  13. line ur eyes and cont. of ur lid.
