  1. Think it through.

Your aunt is either your mom's sister or your mom's sister-in-law.

Your dad's cousin is your first cousin once removed.

No. Not incest. Just happened to work out that you're related to both.

  2. no its not

  3. I  think Jan 5160 explained it best. Unless they share a common ancestor they are not kin.

Now, if you go back far enough, you will probably find distant cousins marrying.  Actually, a lot of people find out for the first time that they are married to a distant cousin when doing their genealogy.

  4. Really confusing, but as long not the next of kin...

  5. It sounds weird and they're not blood related to each other.

  6. bhahaha oh ok so a family tree is were thires a tree so called thing that goes back to ur family members in time lol so that u know all ur family fromm way back ago help ur question?

  7. There's no blood relation.

Because of small communities, this happened all the time in the last 1800's and early 1900's. I have relatives who's parents were 2nd cousins then some of their children married each other. Their family tree looks like  donut.

  8. No.  They are not related to each other.  Just because YOU are related to both does not make them related in any way.

  9. Your aunt on your Mom's side could be her sister-in-law (if she has a brother, that is), or if she's your Mom's aunt, she'd be your great-aunt.

Your Dad's cousin would be your second cousin, or further back depending on which generation cousin he is to your Dad.

It wouldn't be incest because they are not blood related--unless it is through a distant grandparent along the way, and then it wouldn't be close enough to worry about.

My family has double-first cousins, several in fact. You see, two of my grandmother's brothers and 2 of her sisters married 2 brothers and 2 sisters from the same Jones family. So all of their children are double-first cousins. We have so many 5-generations in the family it's not even funny. What helps with this is the fact that my grandmother was one of 12 surviving children, as were BOTH of her parents (they each had 11 brothers and sisters).

  10. It's not uncommon and it's not incest.

Enjoy your quest and expect to find skeletons here and there.

  11. No, it is not because they are not blood related.but they are still related through marriage was not supposed to get married
