K3 fiancee visa?

After the US Embassy interviews you, how long before visa is given for K3? Is there a waiting period?

I think it depends where you go.  It would either be ready the next business day or it will be mailed to you.  Check the consulate website for instructions.

Firstly a word of warning--even tho the paperwork does not tell you to take proof of your relationship(photos,letters,phone bills,joint bank a/c etc) take them.If you are approved straight away that day your passport will be kept and couriered to you in 2-4 days with the visa in it.If you have to provide further info then you can add at least 4 weeks onto when you send the info they requested.In any case you will have received an I-797 notice of action form a while ago telling you that your petition has been approved.On this it tells you what embassy you have to go and a validity period under it.You have to get your visa approved or refused before that.In my case it was valid till dec 9th 2006 and my visa was stamped on the 8th dec and then posted to me.Hope this helps and if you wish any more details get in contact with me as I am about 6-9 months ahead of you in the process.

Look when you go to the US embassy for your fiancee visa interview they will tell you whether or not you have been approved or denied. Normally if you have been approved you will get the visa within 3 to 4 days.
