KFC Big Bash League Update – Match 7 & 8
With poor outings in their opening games, the Melbourne Renegades took on the Perth Scorchers in a crucial encounter of the KFC Big Bash League, played at the Etihad Stadium.

The Scorcher’s chase also had the same pattern with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gibbs-c60021 perished after making 57 but his partner kept up his offensive play and nullified the threat posed by the Renegades’ bowlers to ensure his side crossed the victory line with four balls to spare.
Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder (minus http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221 helped the Thunder’s to overcome their opponents by six wickets.
The Strikers got off to a poor start as they lost 4 wickets for 52, but stern contributions from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cameron-Borgas-c1212 (24) helped the side to recover, and the later order chipped in with crucial runs to ensure that the tourists put on a fighting score of 155.
However, an on song Gayle kept up the Thunder’s unbeaten run in the competition, making exactly 100 from 54 balls. His innings was packed with plenty of sixes – a total of 11 as he battered the bowling to all parts of the ground. In the end, the hosts pulled off an easy win in under 19 overs.
