i wrote this letter to KFC expressing the problems with their food and they never wrote back!

here:

June 18th, 2008

Dear KFC,

I’m sure you get millions of letters a day concerning the way you treat the animals you slaughter, which makes it even more shocking that I even have to write this letter. You know that the way you treat your animals is a form of cruelty, yet you disregard all these letters and continue to ignore your customers.

Your slogan now is Life Tastes Better with KFC. I’m sure that life doesn’t need the bloody taste of murder in its mouth. What you are doing is murdering these chickens and they didn’t even have a chance of survival.

I understand completely that you ‘need’ to kill the chickens, but don’t you think that it’s only right that if you’re going to take away their lives you should at least be ‘nice’ to them. It would be greatly appreciated if you used CAK (controlled-atmosphere killing). CAK is a painless process that seems to simply lull the animal into a sleep. In addition, your workers won’t have to handle the birds, which means less abuse and less angry letters.

The environment the birds are living in is also horrible. They never get to see sunlight most of the time until they are thrown (literally) onto the trucks that drive them to their death. Their wings are broken and they are fed so much unnatural growth that their legs break under their own weight.

It’s not as if people are saying to give up your business, we just want you to improve the lives of those that help to make your business prosperous.

Thank you for your time,

Haley

Also, if you started serving some vegetarian dishes, and I mean actually dishes, it would definitely be to your benefit. That way you can attract everyone and make your food a little healthier.

  1. h**l ya kfc suks.

  2. I HATE KFC, but I also hate all fast food, but noit because they are cruel to animals I couldn't care how people treat animals, their just that animals. I hate fast food cause it tastes like ar$e, and its oily

  3. Your letter was well written and I like it a lot. But I LOVE KFC. And its not like KFC is the only restaurant that sells chicken. There are millions of restaurants that sells chicken! But nice job writing the letter.

  4. It's a really good letter. KFC doesn't kill the chickens. BUT, investigations at KFC supply farms and slaughterhouses worldwide have exposed hideous abuse. KFC is responsible for this cruelty because it could buy meat from companies that use better slaughter systems (controlled atmosphere killing is what it's called.)

Exsft is wrong about the PETA campaign. PETA's work means that KFC Canada will buy all of its meat from controlled atmosphere killing places and have a vegetarian "chicken" option on the menus (in half of the stores). And the company that owns KFC has opened fewer KFC stores since PETA's campaign started. "In 2003, Yum! told its investors that its goal was to have 8,000 KFC restaurants in the United States. Not only has it not met that goal, the number of KFCs in the U.S. has instead actually dropped from 5,552 in 2003 to 5,443 in 2006." Source: http://www.yuminvestors.com/

On KentuckyFriedCruelty.com it says about 1 billion chickens are killed every year for KFC meals. People like wahoo and exsft enjoy pointing out that KFC isn't holding the knife, but does that mean that KFC has no corporate responsibility? Burger King has made very good improvements to its animal welfare policy and KFC can do it too.

  5. Well you expressed your beliefs which I really can't see KFC responding to.  Without doing any reseach and not really knowing I am going to assume that CAK is going to cost more,  which means more overhead and less profit. Unless prices raised to cover the overhead increase which in return would not keep prices competative with other chicken places ultimately effecting profit by losing customer base.  So unless you wrote your congressman and petition for a law to be passed on legal ways to slaughter chicks that apply to all chicken joints I see targeting just KFC as pointless.   Now I think i'll go have some chicken for lunch from White fence Farm,  Kfc is too d**n greasy.

  6. Yea it does

  7. You should send that letter to Tyson (where they get their chickens from).

  8. You wrote it very well i think it was awesome i wish i had the guts to write to them,

    KENTUCKY FRIED CRUELTY (N)

i think it is absolutely awful what happens to these poor animals,  i went vegetarian after going on www.peta2.com and seeing some videos.

i dont even eat gummy bears because of what there made out of ):

So Thank you for writing that letter to them (:

    Ox'

  9. awesome letter!

  10. Yes you basically screwed it up because all your "facts" are wrong and it's quite surprising that the KFC "experts" including the one paid by PETA did not correct you.. No wonder they did not write you back.. they are probably still laughing their heads off..

KFC does not kill chickens.. They are a restaurant not a poultry farm.. The PETA hack knows this but would rather let you delude you into thinking otherwise

They may get millions of letters everyday but not because of the video you watched but complimenting them on their chicken

If you grow up, maybe you can also learn the use of the word murder and that KC does not do it.. They are no different than the millions of families who buy millions of chickens from Tyson Foods supplied supermarkets.. I suggest you write a letter to each of those homes instead

next time, learn the REAL facts, not the PETA propaganda and maybe the next letter you write will not sound so ridiculous as to sound like ti was made by a four year old and they may actually respond to you.....

  11. I don't go there any more. Also I bet they will either not respond or come up with a rinky dink excuse. Also they do already have mashed potatoes and corn which is veg.

  12. I think that was well written :-)

  13. Yes Haley, you did s***w it up.

    1.  KFC kills no chicken.

    2. Nobody MURDERED animals.

    3. Chickens are not raised in the dark.  They will not eat

and  grow properly in the dark.

    4. A chickens legs won't break under its own weight.

    5. Three weeks is not enough time for a company to

properly respond unless it is addressed to a specific person.

    6.  The total tone of your letter comes across as a rant because of all the falsehoods and misinformation and was probably thrown in the trash as soon as it was opened.

  14. That was great and 100% true! They are probably still thinking of how to "top that".. but they can't

    Wonderful letter!

    s***w KFC! (Kentucky Friend Cruelty)

  15. I hate how the U.S. industries are much slower and more stubborn than Canada's to change the way things are. Canada has already agreed to more humane killing (even though I don't agree with killing animals at all, but I can't exactly stop it :/ ), and they've even put a vegan/vegetarian menu for their KFCs.

I love your letter. It's straight to the point and shows how defensive you are on the subject.

I give KFC 'the bird' every single d*mn time I pass that disgusting restaurant.

  16. yeah  save the chickens!!!!!!!!!!!!
