The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Dutch Football Association (KNVB) have confirmed that Louis van Gaal will be the new Netherlands head coach.
The 60-year-old tactician, who started his professional coaching career at Ajax Amsterdam in 1991, has been without a job since April 2011, following his sacking from Bayern Munich managerial position due to the club’s poor performances
in the final weeks of the 2011/12 campaign.
After Bert van Marwijk stepped down as the Oranje boss following his side’s chaotic Euro 2012 exit, several names were constantly being linked for the vacant job, including the likes of Frank Rijkaard, Marco van Basten, Johan Cruyff,
Frank de Boer and Gertjan Verbeek.
However, the Dutch FA has now confirmed that Van Gaal, who earlier had a two-year spell before being sacked in the aftermath of the Oranje’s failure to qualify for the 2002 World Cup, will be the Flying Dutchmen’s new boss.

“We were looking for a coach with a lot of experience and with personal and professional charisma. Van Gaal has left his mark nationally and internationally and we know him as a dedicated and very motivated coach”, Van Oostveen
concluded.
Van Gaal was also extremely pleased after signing a contract with KNVB, and revealed that he was waiting for this challenge for quite some time.
“I am happy that the KNVB has approached me. This is the challenge I have been waiting for”, the former Ajax boss said while talking to journalists.
