The Oranje entered the competition as one of the favourites to achieve European glory alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011. However, the Flying Dutchmen failed to impress in the group stages, losing all three of their Group B fixtures.

Van Oostveen, who has been the in charge of KNVB since 2008, was extremely disappointed with his side bowing out of the competition from the group stage, and launched an internal investigation to evaluate the Oranje’s performance
in the competition.
“We have had discussions with various people in and around the Dutch national team and the KNVB. We will continue discussions next week as well. This evaluation is a process. Only when we know exactly what went wrong, and who is
responsible, will we draw our conclusions. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 play against Belgium on August 15 and, by then, everyone will know where they stand”, the president was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
Following the Flying Dutchmen’s abysmal showings at Euro 2012, rumours were rife that the Dutch national football team head coach, Bert van Marwijk, will lose his job.
However, Van Oostveen has made it clear that the former Borussia Dortmund boss is more than safe, and has revealed that the Dutch Football Association have no intentions of changing the coach at this point.
“We have a contract with the coach until 2016. It is our intention to continue with him, so that he can work with a renewed Dutch squad for Euro 2016 in France”, Van Oostveen concluded.
Netherlands will return to action on August 15 when they take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850 in an international friendly in Brussels.
