Scheveningen, FC Eindhoven, ADO ’20, Hollandia and FC Den Bosch claimed victories in their respective Dutch cup fixtures to secure progression to the third round.
Scheveningen 2-1 OSS
The Topklasse strugglers, Scheveningen, claimed a surprising 2-1 win over OSS at Sportpark Houtrust on Tuesday, September 25.
After a goalless opening half, the visiting side broke the deadlock in the 49th minute through Roy de Ruitter. However, Mehmet Aldogan’s strike brought the two sides level on terms in the 63rd minute.
Both sides put a scintillating show in the remaining action of the regular 90 minutes, but failed to find the winner.
After an uneventful first period of extra time, the home side mounted immense pressure on the visitors’ back-line, and managed to net the winner through Samir El Moussaoui in the 118th minute.
Hollandia 1-0 Fortuna Sittard
Hollandia stunned the Eerste Divisie outfit, Fortuna Sittard, with a 1-0 win at Juliana Sportpark on Tuesday, September 25.
The only goal of the game in the 75th minute, when Kalvin http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 managed to hit the target, and helped his side to progress through to the third round of the Dutch cup.
AFC 0-1 FC Den Bosch
FC Den Bosch claimed a hard fought 1-0 win in an evenly contested game against AFC at Sportpark Goed on Tuesday, September 25.
In a game where chances came few and far between, both sides remained goalless in the regular 90 minutes. However, Den Bosch managed to score the winner in the 119th minute through Jelle de Bock.
ADO ’20 4-1 Almere City
ADO ’20 cruised to a comfortable but an impressive 4-1 victory over Almere City at Sportpark de Vlotter on Tuesday, September 25.
A brace from Benny Kleine, and a strike each from Jeffrey Mols and Mike Brantjes secured an easy win for the home side. Stefano Lilipaly netted the only goal for the visitors.
JVC CUIJK 2-4 FC Eindhoven
FC Eindhoven had to battle hard to claim a 4-2 victory against JVC CUIJK at Gemeentelijk Sportpark De Groenendijkse on Tuesday, September 25.
The Eindhoven outfit grabbed the lead in the 20th minute, but Mehmet Dingel’s strike leveled the score-line only two minutes later.
Serhat Koc restored the visiting side’s one-goal lead in the 32nd minute, but the hosts’ yet again managed to score the equalizer through Mark Fennebeumer.
Nonetheless, the Eindhoven outfit managed to seal the victory by netting two goals in the second period of extra time. Dadda reclaimed his side’s lead in the 113th minute, while Rob van Boekel added his name to the score-sheet
moments before the final whistle.
