chesnut in a 5 dog dog off they ended up tied after 10 minutes at 59 dogs a piece. don't say its 12 they discovered that the original nathans famous hot dog eating contest back in like 1906 was 10 minutes

Joey Chestnut won, they were tied after the ten minutes with 59 hot dogs and had to go to a sudden death 5 hot dog dog off with whoever finished his hot dogs first being the winner. Both Kobyashi and Chestnut had their final hot dog in their mouth but Joey Chestnut finished just ahead of The Tsunami to keep the belt in America.
