  1. legit krap maga class?hahaha your kidding.please pay only in cash and in advance and i promise i will teach you absolutely nothing.

  2. Hi Liz, not sure which country you're in, but I'd check that they are a member of the IKMF (International Krav Maga Federation).

Our club allows you to pay per lesson if you like so you can go for a few weeks / months and see if it is the style for you.  If they do push for an upfront financial commitment of 6 months or so, I'd look elsewhere.

See how the class interact with each other and the instructor.  If they seem to be having fun and yet training hard, then thats a good start.

If you're on the eastern seaboard of Australia, check out Krav Maga Training Academy.

    Good luck

  3. Hey Liz,

O.K....got to www.kravmaga.com. Enter the site and click on locations on the left hand menu.  Search for your state and then narrow it down by city.   If there isn't a Krav Maga World wide center near you there may be other organizations that teach it.  I can only speak on Krav Maga Worldwide because that's where I go.  Also, go to the bookstore under the sports section and look for " Complete Krav Maga" by Darren Levine.

Just to make sure you like it, sign up for only 6 months.  That way you're giving it an honest shot but not risking too much money in case you don't like it.

Almost forgot...make sure the school has classes for Levels 1-4 and at least 4-8 instructors.  If not you may end up with, "The Little House on the Praire" type of enviroment. The flip side of that is if you're serious you'll get more individual attention and have the chance to teach which is a really nice option to have.  Starting on the ground floor has some benefits.  Check out my school's website at www.911kravmaga.com.  To get an idea of the classes go to schedule for Callahan Rd location.

It offers self defense, kettle bell training (super tough stuff),  cardio kickboxing, a spin (cycle) class, along with self defense and street fighting, plus they're always adding new stuff.  I go everyday they have a class for self defense which is 5 days a week, plus cardio kickboxing.  You'll be a beast after you learn this stuff.
