  1. I'm pretty sure 8 is the top result they can get, but surely one present will suffice? Major presents can wait til she gets fantastic results in her GCSE's

  2. It's true they say 5 is the average... I just looked it up but couldn't believe it! I got a 5 in one of my KS2's... I think it means average as in you should be getting above that to get a reasonable grade, not that most people get a 5. 6 is the average grade in the sense that most people of reasonable ability would get this without bothering to do any work at all.  7 is a good grade, but not excellent.  An 8 would be deserving of gifts! Still, good grades though considering 2 7's.

  3. Yeah they are good results. The highest you can get in maths is 8, english 7 and science 7. You should definitely get her something that she wants, but I wouldn't get her too much, as SATs aren't actually that important (as I found out last year), and it would probably be better to reward her for doing well in her GCSE's in the coming years =]

  4. yeh of course it excellent giv her everfin

  5. Yes it's very good!

The average is a grade 5.  I went to grammar school, and we generally got 6s, 7s and occasional 8.

So yes, get her a nice present!

  6. Considering the average is a level 5, your daughter has done very well in her Sat's! In english, especially, where level 7 is the highest. She was 1 level off getting the highest grades in the two other subjects, where 8 is the greatest in maths and 7 is the greatest in science. I myself got my results back recently and only one kid in our year managed to get two 7's and a 8, which was the highest in my year, so does that put things in a better perspective?

All in all, I think you should get your daughter something nice now, however, wait until her GCSE's come and then wait to give the better rewards. Based on her results, I can predict a few A's and B's ^_^

  7. Level 8 is the best to get at KS3. I got all 8's. I got level 6 in year 7. So give her a gift but nothing to good or big.
