KSA job visa, consultancy asking for my original certificates to be submitted for visa stamping?

Hi, I am in India, I have got a job offer in Riyadh, need to join in October'08. They have requested me to co-ordinate with a consultancy in India. Consultancy is asking me to submit all my original marks cards, degree certificates and passport for visa processing. I am hesitant, uncomfortable in submitting the same as I am unaware of process. Request, if anyone have any idea about this process please let me know.

Make copies of EVERYTHING before you submit it.  You do need to submit your original copies so they can approve your visa.  You just need to have your own copies in case anything gets lost.  Everything is replaceable, so don't worry so much.

You must be having some technical job therefore it is necessary to submit your educational / technical degree / certificates to the Saudi Consulate in Mumbai / Delhi so that they can stamp the Visa on your Passport after properly inspecting the documents and they will keep the photocopies in their record.
