Which do you prefer? Which do you think is better? Why?

Any experiences with any of these bikes? Advantages? Disadvantages? What made you decide on one particular one over the other?

I'm looking at buying any of the above mentioned motorbikes for racing motocross. Currently have a CRF150R - Expert, but looking for the next step up. Haven't had a test ride on any yet. Unsure how to go about deciding.

  1. I have ridden all those bikes, and all have great details about them. but in the end, I would chose the Yamaha YZ 250 F. I have owned the honda, but the honda has reliability problems with the valves in the engine. The suzuki is a great bike, but doesnt have the power of the honda or yamaha. and the kawasaki has been known to be a little unreliable.

The Yamaha comes with great suspension, and an overall great appearane.

but to be truthful in all, all the japanese bike are pretty close, it may just come down to what color you want. But if I were you, I would also take a look at the KTM SXF250. That is a nice looking bike, and I think it comes with an electric start.

research the availability of aftermarket products like exhaust, suspention, graphics, bars, etc..... this will let you know what may be available for your new sled, and it just may make up your mind about a certain bike......

  2. KX250F. . i work at a mortorcycle shop and test drove every one. they were all beast but the KX pulled infront..... and in the transword magazine they did a test to see which was the best and the Kawasaki won.... there all great but get the KX. if you dont want the KX get the CRF..... but no matter what one you gat, youll be happy.

  3. Test drive them all.

One guy might like the X bike, another might like the Z bike.

It does not matter, get the bike that works for you.

  4. kx 250f

    kawasaki is the best

  5. Good luck choosing just one. These bikes are all so good, so close, and so competitive,. It seems the the more you read and compare, the more confusing it is. Just go with the dealer you feel the most comfortable with and the best deal. Chances are, if you already own and like your 150r, you will love a new crf 250f, and you already know the dealership. Just choose with confidence, you can win on any of them.
