Ka Long Ng tames Daniil Genin in Men’s Singles qualifying round at Thailand Open 2012
Hong Kong’s Ka Long Ng proved his elevated position in the court when he tamed Kazakhstan’s Daniil Genin at the Men’s Singles qualifying round contest in SCG Thailand Open 2012 at Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday, June 5.
Ka Long, who has been placed at number seven in Men’s Singles qualifying round draw of the championship, showed his impressive craft in the court and proved too strong for his rival who could not create strong resistance in the court.
The higher ranked Ka Long played with impressive control in his shots and managed to oust his opponent without dropping much sweat in the court as he consumed just 19 minutes in the court and registered a comprehensive victory over opponent.
On the other hand, Daniil played quivering badminton as he could not find a good flow throughout the competition and also remained struggling to match the speed of his higher ranked opponent. He lost the contest with a huge margin without showing a strong character.
Ka Long opened his run in the court in an impressive manner as he played on a completely different level and took an early lead without wasting any time.
In the meanwhile, Daniil tried to compete well by playing fast badminton but he could not take the bird early and also failed to place his shots accurately.
Until the mid-game interval in first game, it was Ka Long who sailed smoothly and remained miles ahead of his rival by reaching at 11-2.
After the break, Ka Long continued his roller-coaster run in the court without facing any interruption from his rival and bagged the first game with a one-sided 21-10 score on the board.
In the following set, Ka Long maintained his firm grip over the pace of rallies and did not let his rival to find a good rhythm at any stage and also set up a superb lead of 11-5 on the board.
Daniil, on the other hand failed to live up to expectations and again failed to cope up with the pace of the game.
Ka Long played with impressive precision in the concluding half of second game and easily grabbed it with a stunning margin of 21-10.
The spirited Hong Kong shuttler won the match in straight games with a staggering margin of 21-10 and 21-10.
