I'm looking to cook some kabobs on my new bbg tomorrow and I'm just looking for soom ideas. I'm looking for either chicken or shrimp kabobs, no beef. I don't want them to be to complicated, and I'd like a nice marinating or diping sauce to go with them.

Thanks for the help. Hope I wasn't to demanding lol.

cheers!

  1. Tangy Grilled Chicken Kabobs

    Ingredients

1 cup MIRACLE WHIP LIGHT Dressing

1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Italian Salad Dressing Mix

    2 Tbsp. vinegar

    2 Tbsp. water

1-1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces

Assorted cut-up vegetables (peppers, mushrooms, onions and zucchini)

    Preparation

MIX dressing, salad dressing mix, vinegar and water. Reserve 1/2 cup dressing mixture for dipping cooked kabobs.

ARRANGE chicken and vegetables on 6 skewers. Pour remaining dressing mixture over skewers in shallow dish. Refrigerate 30 minutes to marinate. Place kabobs on grill over medium-high coals.

GRILL 10 to 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked through, turning once. Serve with reserved 1/2 cup dressing mixture.

    Shrimp Kabobs Five Ingredient Meal

    Prep Time: 15 minutes

    Cook Time: 6 minutes

    Ingredients:

1 lb. uncooked medium shrimp (about 32) shelled and deveined

2 red or yellow bell peppers, cut into chunks

8 oz. pkg. button mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed

1/2 cup Italian salad dressing, divided

10 oz. pkg. mixed salad greens

    Preparation:

On each of 8 metal kabobs, thread shrimp, pepper chunks, and whole mushrooms, allowing a bit of space in between each ingredient. Measure out 1/4 cup Italian salad dressing and set aside for salad. Brush kabobs with remaining salad dressing and grill or broil 4-6" from heat for 4-6 minutes until shrimp are cooked, turning once and brushing once with salad dressing.

Toss salad with reserved salad dressing and serve with kabobs. I like to 'de-thread' the kabobs right over the salad for a delicious contrast. 4 servings
