Kaede Kisaka captures Boys 200m backstroke gold – 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet
Kaede Kisaka of Itoman captured gold medal of the Boys 200m backstroke on concluding day of the 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet at the Golden West Swim Club in Golden West College on Sunday, September 23.
Kisaka met expectations of his supporters in the distant backstroke discipline, where he smothered hopes of his opponents who were eyeing the title of the discipline.
Kisaka faced no trouble in overpowering his fellow swimmers and proved his mettle for the crown in a comfortable manner.
His stupendous efforts remained full body length ahead of his following swimmer and surfaced on the wall as top fastest swimmer by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 05.28 seconds.
The gold medallist was chased by Kohei Tsumura of Itoman, who remained 0.92 seconds behind and transpired on the finishing end as second best finisher by reporting a time of 2 minutes and 06.20 seconds.
The second position holder was followed by Robert S McHugh of NCSA, who stayed 0.31 seconds behind and tapped the wall for third position by producing a time of 2 minutes and 06.51 seconds.
Fourth best spot of the event was obtained by Ryoichi Ishiyama of Itoman, who suffered a deficit of nearly four body lengths from his former finisher ad clocked a time of 2 minutes and 10.36 seconds.
Ishiyama was followed by Alec J Carlson of NCSA, who stayed only 0.08 seconds behind and touched the wall with a timing of 2 minutes and 10.44 seconds for fifth position.
Carlson was trailed by Kyle E Tyrrell of NCSA, who stayed 3.31 seconds apart and emerged on the finishing wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 13.75 seconds for sixth position.
Tyrrell was chased by Grant R Proctor of NCSA, who stayed half body length away from his preceding swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end as eighth best finisher by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 14.35 seconds.
In addition, Kisaka expressed contentment after securing gold medal of the event and said that he would train harder in order to achieve the same at the higher levels of international swimming.
