Kaede Kisaka conquers Boys 200m backstroke prelims – 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet
Kaede Kisaka of Itoman conquered the preliminary rounds of the Boys 200m backstroke on third day of the 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet at the Golden West Swim Club in Golden West College on Sunday, September 23.
Kisaka showered his expertise in the four-lap backstroke discipline as he showed his urgency towards the finishing blockade for fastest qualification spot. He stifled hopes of his opponents in the 200m discipline and entered the final round as strongest
swimmer for the title.
Kisaka showed no mercy to his opponents and surfaced on the finishing end as top contender for gold medal by producing a time of 2 minutes and 06.64 seconds.
His gruelling effort remained 0.80 seconds ahead of his closest competitor, Kohei Tsumura of Itoman, who transpired on the finishing blockade for second position by submitting a time of 2 minutes ad 07.44 seconds.
Tsumura was trailed by Robert S McHugh of NCSA, who was one and a half body length behind and emerged on the finishing end as third fastest swimmer by reporting a time of 2 minutes and 08.97 seconds.
Fourth best qualification spot of the race was obtained by Ryoichi Ishiyama of Itoman, who remained just 0.12 seconds slower from improving his position and entered the playoff with an effort of 2 minutes and 09.09 seconds.
Ishiyama was followed by Alec J Carlson of NCSA, who remained three body lengths apart and completed his race in fifth place by touching the wall with a timing of 2 minutes and 12.37 seconds.
Carlson was traced by Kyle E Tyrrell of NCSA, who was 1.93 seconds behind and submitted a time of 2 minute and 14.30 seconds for sixth position.
Seventh position of the event was secured by Grant R Proctor of NCSA, who was 0.35 seconds apart and touched the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 14.65 seconds.
Proctor was chased by Alex J Martin of NCSA, who managed to secure last qualification spot of the race by completing his swim in a time of 2 minutes and 17.09 seconds.
Furthermore, Kisaka was delighted and unveiled his plans of winning the title.
