Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 could miss out on the upcoming Olympics, as the Japanese FA feel that the player wouldn’t have had enough time to rest before the games.
The midfielder is set to complete his move to Manchester United in the coming days, but despite his brilliant performances for Borussia Dortmund all of last season, he could be left out of the Olympic team.
The player has been on duty for Japan and has been representing the team in the World Cup qualifiers. Based on his performances in the games and due to the fact that he won’t be fit / given enough time to rest before the games, the Japanese FA is willing
to let the player take time off and not play in the Olympics.
Japanese FA technical director Hiromi Hara, when talking about the player and their decision to let he player stay out of the Olympics is reported to have said: "Kagawa is one of the leading members of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 senior team, and he is almost certainly going
to join one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
"We came to the conclusion that not giving him enough rest is not good for his future or our final World Cup qualifiers.”
"I talked to Kagawa directly and told him he would not be chosen."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson is more than likely going to be rather delighted to hear this news. The United boss is against letting all his top players leaving for the Olympics and even went on to ask Stuart Pearce to exclude most of his squad members. Now with the Japanese
FA doing so, without Ferguson’s request, it seems like Kagawa might just get much more time to settle into the United squad.
So far, it is unclear just where or how the player would play for the team. Nonetheless, based on Kagawa’s comments, he made it clear that he would like to play behind the striker, as he feels that is the best position for him to prove his worth in.
It is now up to Ferguson to decide just how to use the player.
