The former Borussia Dortmund player who recently signed for the Red Devils is adamant that he wants to create goal scoring opportunities for his new team mates at Old Trafford by playing as a playmaker for Mancherster United,
something that he has spoken about to Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson as well...
The 23 year old midfielder who caught the eye in Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga winning season yet again was recently signed by Manchester United and Kagawa is now adamant that his best position is just behind the striker, in the
hole. Kagawa who is already rated very highly in continental Europe was signed by United for 17 million pounds but now all that is left is a work permit so that United can officially unveil him at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils failed to retain their league title last season as they lost out to Manchester City in the title race by goal difference. Manchester United’s midfield appeared to be their weakness on several occasions but with Kagawa’s
arrival that weakness might be overcome.
Sir Alex has always emphasized that he has played with two strikers in a 4-4-2 system therefore it will be interesting to see where Kagawa slots in, in that system. United might need to change the way they play due to the Japanese
midfielder’s arrival, something that might benefit them in European club cup competitions such as the UEFA Champions League where most of the teams play with a five man midfield.
Kagawa said, "I want to play (in the hole), I feel like that's where I play my best football. I plan on working hard so I can win my place at the position. They're one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I was given a chance
to play for them.”
He added, "I took a lot of things into consideration, like the fact that they've got a deep squad, their style of football and it wasn't an easy decision. But I wanted the challenge. I met (Ferguson) and contacted him a few times
afterwards. I thought we hit it off, which meant a lot to me."
