The legendary goalkeeper has dismissed rumours that the club is in chaos after recent run of poor results.
The Munich giants have been under scrutiny after a series of disappointing results after the winter break and are now seven points adrift of Borussia Dortmund on the Bundesliga standings table. Jupp Heynckes’ side started the season
sensationally but have seen a dip in form after returning from the mid-season break.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oliver-c28477 Kahn played down rumours that Bayern Munich are in chaos after their recent form and insisted that the side has no plans to part ways with Jupp Heynckes. If reports are to be believed, there has been unrest at Allianz Arena
in the past few weeks considering the likes of Christian Nerlinger and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 openly criticising the team.
The former goalkeeper brushed aside the reports and stated that it is just the pressure which is taking toll on the players. He insisted that there is certainly a huge amount of pressure on the players if you play for a club such
as Bayern Munich but that is common. He stressed that things will get back to normal when the results start coming.
“We should not panic. The foundations of Bayern are so stable that they could endure a period when things do not go so well. With the pressure of success bearing down on the club, there is obviously a latent unrest at the moment,
as the objectives are not being achieved,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The 42-year old opined that the internal problems of the club should not be addressed publicly and the matters should be resolved among the concerned parties. He claimed that Bayern should refrain from speaking to the media in
this situation.
“Unrest in the team is normal, and not counter-productive if it is properly channeled. It is extremely problematic, however, when internal problems are addressed in public,” the legendary goalkeeper concluded.
Bayern Munich will next take on Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, March 10. The side will be eager to register all three points and would hope that Borussia Dortmund drop points in their clash against FC Augsburg.
