The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international feels that the Bundesliga teams have a decent chance to bring home a European cup this season after being unable to win a trophy since 2001
Former Bayern Munich and Karlsruher SC star custodian http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oliver-c28477 Kahn has offered support to the German clubs to achieve success in the European competitions after a number of teams have enjoyed a glittering start to their continental
campaigns. He believes that a domestic club will win this time around after 11 years of failure.
The veteran shot-stopper was named the best player of the match when Bayern Munich won the UEFA Champions League in 2001, but no Bundesliga outfit has been able to lift the prestigious trophy ever since or even the UEFA Europa
League and UEFA Cup.
No German side has won anything outside the domestic competitions for the past 11 years.
However, the 2002 'Golden Ball' winner feels that this year the trend can change as seven Bundesliga teams including Bayern Munich, Schalke, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach, Stuttgart and Hannover
have been in good form in their respective groups of Champions League and Europa League.
The 43-year-old claimed that Bayern, Dortmund and Schalke have done well in Europe’s elite cup competition and one of them can go all the way in the competition. Moreover, Gladbach and Leverkusen have a good chance of reaching
the second round of the formerly known UEFA Cup.
"The Bundesliga has a good chance to be represented by all seven clubs in the knockout stages of the Champions League or in the second round of the Europa League," the 2001 German Footballer of the Year was quoted as saying in
an interview.

"Hannover and Leverkusen have already qualified, whilst all others have it in their own hands to reach the next round," the former 1996 UEFA European Championship winner finally concluded.
The 43-year-old revealed that Hannover and Leverkusen have already secured progression to the second round of Europa League. Furthermore, all the other clubs can also qualify further if they win their upcoming fixtures. As a result
of this, Kahn expects local teams to put past disappointments behind them this season.
