Kai likely to win 32Red.com Handicap
Kai is likely to prevail in the 32Red.com Handicap at Wolverhampton in England on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. The triumphant horse will be awarded a cash prize of £1,704 in the class-6 event.
The going will be standard in the 5 furlong 20 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 14:20 GMT. A total of 10 runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Betty Brook, Ghazeer, Kai, First Rebellion, Miserere Mei, Cataract, Emma Jean,
Jeremy Sue, Forever Janey and Maltease Ah.
Earlier, a total of 11 runners had lined up for action, but Alnair has been ruled out of action due to injury. He was one of the least favourites to win the race, as his record is not much impressive at this level.
However, the bookies believe that Kai will walk away with a victory in today’s race, as he is a very good runner. He does not have an impressive record though, which might discourage the punters from placing bets in his favour.
The three-year-old gelding made his debut last year and was unable to deliver a decent result back then. He continued struggling in his second race as well, but made some improvement in his most recent outing.
The Michael Bell’s trainee has a solid chance of bringing up his maiden victory today, as his opponents are not much experienced. However, he will need to be at his absolute best in order to do so.
One positive thing for Kai will be his partner, Jamie Spencer, who has enjoyed plenty of success at this level and has got a terrific strike rate.
On the other hand, the bettors might risk some money in favour of Betty Brook, who has performed well in her recent outings. She finished runner up in her previous outing, which shows that she is carrying good rhythm at the moment.
The three-year-old filly has participated in five events until now, but has not managed to win any of them. She will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Ryan Moore, who earned quite a lot of victories in his career.
Other than the top two favourites, Ghazeer will also be the one to watch out for in the race.
