Kaiserslautern anyone?

Question

I'm going to visit my niece (American Air Force) who will be stationed in Ramstein this summer. Thought I'd look up Kaiserslautern. It is hard to find anything about it at all, and yet it must have pretty good size to it. It's suppose to be twice as big as the city in which I live now. Can hardly find hotels listed, which makes it hard to find reviews. Doesn't appear on most of the major internet travel sites I use. Sometimes I can't even find it on a map. I'm going to be there for 3 days. Any advice to make this a nice trip? (Please be nice.)

While you there visit Baumholder, which is a very beautiful country side and good luck on your trip.

Hello

I am native German Kaiserslautern is not one of the bigger cities of the country that might be the reason it is hard to find somrthing about it.Though the region is quite nice to travel.

We all Americans calling Kaiserslautern (K.town) so it's pretty big city near Ramstein and Military Hospital (huge) in Landstuhl. Did you check www.kaiserslautern.de, there is the hotels listed also. Enjoy your trip....
