Kaizer Chiefs captain Jimmy Tau all set to face Baroka in the Nedbank Cup
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jimmy-Tau-c18579 has ensured that his team is ready for the Nedbank Cup match against Baroka FC and will fight till the very end in order to make sure that Chiefs doesn’t slip in the wake of their over confidence. The two teams will lock
horns on Sunday, April 24 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Baroka are a Limpopo Vodacom League outfit and it is believed that the reigning champions are going to give a tough time to the Amakhosi. Although their captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Katlego-Mashego-c20450, rates his side much lower than the opponents, he still ensured Baroka won’t
let the Chiefs ease past them on Sunday.
Tau insisted that his side won’t take their opponents lightly as it was a knock out stage and no team could be regarded as an underdog at this point in time. Even though pundits have regarded the Chiefs as favourites to win the tie, Tau urged his side to
be focussed and not think about the repute of the opposition.
The 30-year-old said while speaking to reporters, “The fact that it is a knockout competition means you got to make provision for penalties, and that’s why we have extra training sessions for penalties. For us we know we will play a team that is very eager
to do well against us… with the pedigree they have shown having won against Swallows it shows the kind of commitment and talent they have at their disposal.”
Baroka officials and captain have appealed to the fans of ABSA Premiership clubs like Orlando Pirates and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mamelodi-Sundowns-c39851 to offer them support against Kaizer Chiefs. It is believed that the step has been taken to divert Chiefs from their preparations
and make them think hard upon the presence of their rival supporters. Tau claimed that the Amakhosi won’t be troubled by this and all the answers will be given on the field.
He concluded by saying, “I think at the end of the day they will be supporting football so whether they come to support us or be against us I think football will be the winner. We are just expecting a big crowd.”
Chiefs are currently third in the League table with 53 points while Pirates are leading the flight with 56 points.
