Kaka has clarified his commitment to Real Madrid again and described his relationship with the club coach, Jose Mourinho, as ‘professional’.
Recently, the midfielder’s future at the club has been questioned many times after several injuries forced him to stay on the sidelines.
His long stretches of injuries have surely taken a toll on him as his form and fitness was not up to the mark.
Regardless, the playmaker said that he is committed to Real since his contract is still running, and he is hoping to enjoy his remaining time with the club.
“I have a contract with Madrid for two and a half years and I hope to stay there and enjoy my football”.
The Brazilian also commented on his relationship with Mourinho and described it as a professional one. He also understands the intense competition for a position in the club and because of that he respects the decisions which are made by the boss.
“My relationship with the Coach is very professional, I respect his decisions.”
The former AC Milan man also had words of praise for his fellow midfielder, Mesut Ozil. The two playmakers are fighting for a position in the starting line-up. Kaka also said that he holds the German in high regard and sees the competition between them to
be quite normal.
"[Mesut] Ozil is a player who I respect as a companion, a player and a friend. And that's what the competition is like at a great club like Madrid.”
Finally, the 30-year-old remarked on his belief that he can contribute more to Los Blancos. He feels that he still has many qualities such as his technical skills and long experience that can be valuable for the team.
“I can contribute my technical skills, and my experience and maturity now too. I have had ten years of professional contribution but believe I can give more for Madrid and the Selecao.”
Earlier in the season, Kaka appeared to have won over Mourinho as he made some starts. Since then he has featured only seven matches and four of them were substitutions.
Real Madrid will host Athletic Bilbao at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on this weekend.
