Kaka: I will return soon
Real Madrid attacking midfielder Kaka has revelaled that he will be back in action soon as his recovery from injury continues to be going smoothly.
The 28-year-old Brazilian superstar has been out of action following surgery to mend a long-held knee problem after the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Although the operation went successfully, the recovery time is estimated at around four months which means that Kaka faces an extended spell on the sidelines as well as physiotherapy and time in the gym to work his way back to match fitness.
However, the player has said that he is well on the road to recovery and is hopeful that he will be able to be back playing ahead of his scheduled return of next year.
'Optimal recovery'
On his Twitter account, he said that: “On September 5, it was one month since my operation. I have a lot of physiotherapy for optimal recovery. I’ll be back soon.”
Kaka started his career with Sao Paulo in his homeland, with whom he won several honours after making his senior debut in January 2001. He played for the club 58 times at first-team level and scored 23 goals.
In 2003, he was snapped up by AC Milan for a fee of around 8.5 million euros. It took less than a month for him to make his way into the starting line-up and made his league debut in a victory over Ancona. In his first season with the Italian giants, he won the Serie A title as well as the UEFA Super Cup, scoring 10 goals in 30 games along the way.
He went on to win the UEFA Champions League with the club in the 2006-07 season as well as the FIFA Club World Cup before making the switch to Madrid in 2009. However, he has yet to win any silverware in Spain after enduring a difficult first season at Madrid.
Kaka has also featured 82 times for his country and has scored 27 goals for Brazil. He was also part of the squad which won the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
