Real Madrid midfield maestro, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-c30950 Kaka, has made claims that he will not be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 29-year-old stated that he has been assured by manager, Jose Mourinho, and president, Florentino Perez, that his future at the club is secure.
Despite being constantly linked with a move away from the club, Kaka has revealed that Real are not looking to sell the Brazilian international.
Kaka’s time with Real has not been very eventful. Issues regarding his fitness and a number of injuries have restricted the player from making a positive impact on the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
The Brazilian was signed from Italian giants, AC Milan, in the summer of 2009. Ever since joining Los Blancos, Kaka has struggled with his form and has hardly performed at the levels expected of him.
For two consecutive seasons, the iconic player was rarely included in the first team.
The Real Madrid number 8 was linked to a move away from the club throughout the summer, with several clubs across Europe interested in getting his signature.
The former Milan star was seen as the focus of transfer rumours in the current January transfer window as well. French side Paris Saint-Germain were amongst the favourites to sign the Brazilian midfielder.
However, the former Champions League winner made an incredible return to form this season and showed that he is important for the Spanish club.
His recent statements have put all the transfer speculation to rest.
According to AS, Kaka was quoted as saying:
"I discussed it with Florentino and Mourinho, we talked and I was assured it was not going to happen. Speculation has always come. Not for the first time they [the press] said I was going, but I always say that my desire is to stay and
succeed here. It's what I want. I keep working and eventually people will see the truth.”
Kaka was one of the scorers in Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Real Zaragoza on Saturday.
