The Brazilian international is backing his former club as they host La Blaugrana in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Kaka has revealed that he will be supporting AC Milan and believes that the Rossoneri have what it takes to eliminate the current UEFA Champions League title holders.
The playmaker was once an integral part of Milan and helped them win the European title back in 2007. It was the same year when the Brazilian star showed his true potential on the pitch and won himself the World Player of the Year award.
To the joy of football audiences worldwide, Barcelona were drawn against AC Milan to play the quarter-finals of this year’s tournament. The fixture garnered a great deal of interest as this will not be the first time this season that the two teams will come
face to face in Europe.
Barca and Milan were also drawn in the same group when the tournament started. The first match between the two took place at the Nou Camp and was hailed as one of the most thrilling encounters of this year’s European campaign.
The Rossoneri scored in the early moments, but failed to maintain their advantage as Barca came back from behind and took the lead. However, the visitors scored the equalizer in the dying moments of the game and took the all-important point from the away
fixture.
The second match between these two teams was also heavily contested and ended with Barcelona winning 3-2, defeating AC Milan at the San Siro.
With Milan drawn against Barcelona in the quarter-finals, Kaka exclaimed that he is confident that the Italian champions will be able to beat La Blaugrana when the two sides come together to face each other for the second time this season.
