The midfield maestro has expressed his desired to feature for the Selecao and has appeared hopeful of making a return to his national side.
Real Madrid’s Kaka wants to make a comeback in the Brazilian national squad.
While talking to reporters, the player stated that he can see himself feature for his native country soon. However, the Madridsta conceded that he understands that paving his way into the squad will not be an easy task.
Kaka stressed that selection for the national team is dependent upon his performance with Los Blancos, as performing at club level is what actually determines a player’s spot in the national team.
The player, who joined the Spanish giants in the summer of 2009 from Italian Serie A giants, AC Milan, was once rated among one of the greatest players in the world. He is still the second most expensive player and was signed by Madrid for a reported fee
of 70 million Euros.
However, the midfielder failed to make the expected impact at his new club. Injury problems and issues related to his fitness constrained the Brazilian from performing at his best for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit. The player remained sidelined for an extended
period of time in his first two seasons with Los Merengues.
Consequently, the player’s rapport with the Brazilian national team also suffered and his involvement for the Pentacampeões became rare.
It appeared as though the former Ballon d’Or player had lost his touch. However, the player made a remarkable comeback for Madrid this season and has managed to impress audiences worldwide.
As a result, the former AC Milan star has exclaimed his desire to play for the Samba Boys once again.
While talking to reporters, the 30-year-old was quoted as saying:
"I have a good relationship with (coach) http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554.”
"I have told him that I want to play for the national team again. But I believe my return to the national team will depend on my performances at club level, as that is the reason why players get called up for the national side. I will, little by little,
get my place back at my club, things will turn out well and I will be called up again."
At the moment Kaka is enjoying his side’s La Liga triumph and appears to be having a great time with the nine time European champions.
