Having not played a single La Liga match this season, the experienced Brazilian midfielder is determined to prove himself to his manager, to the team, and to the fans.
After achieving the FIFA Player of the Year award in 2007, Kaka was in top form.
Transferring from AC Milan to Real Madrid, the Brazilian playmaker made his mark very well. A crowd favourite and a phenomenal player, it looked like Kaka was to be on top.
However, due to constant injuries, which led to him not performing as well as he was known to perform, Kaka ended up seeing less game-time.
He was not a member of Madrid’s squad when they went up against arch-rivals, Barcelona, for the Super Cup, and is yet to make an appearance in this season’s La Liga matches.
Former team, AC Milan, tried to get Kaka on loan from Real Madrid while the transfer window was open, but Real Madrid were only looking at a permanent move.
The advances of the Italian outfit were rebuffed by Real Madrid, who bought the player for 65 million Euros only three years back, and with his performance being well below par, it’s not surprising that the Spanish team were only willing to settle for a
sale.
With the transfer window closed, Kaka has no choice but to stay for Los Blancos until January.
First team minutes will be a problem for him after Los Blancos signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, a sign of things to come.
However, Kaka is determined to gain Mourinho’s trust back, and stated, “I arrive before the other players, do separate training, practice with the squad. The only way I’m going to get another chance is training more than the others and that’s what I’ve been
doing.”
The 30-year-old experienced player is also realistic about his future, sharing, “Today, I don’t want to be a first team player, just to be in the squad.”
When asked why he did not end up leaving Madrid if he felt like he was not going to see enough game-time, Kaka responded with, “If I am not gone it is because I did not have any offers.”
Despite what seems like a horrible start for him, Kaka is training harder than ever to show his worth, and prove to Mourinho that the 65 million Euros did not go to waste.
