Kalacan Lad eyes on first A2 victory
The S. Saberton trained black dog, Kalacan Lad, has achieved two classic conquests at just the threshold of his career, and now, he is all ready to thrive in his maiden A2 race entitled as Boddy, Baird & Jeeves Stakes that will be held at Peterborough on
Wednesday night, September 12.
The challenge is arduous but the two-year-old novice hound seems to be confident enough to cope with it. During the last five days, he took hard training to improvise his racing skills. Thus, he will be able to run confidently over 420 meters with his eyes
on £83.
The two-year-old novice hound debuted on July 21, 2012. He broke his maiden with the 3¼-length clean victory on August 23. That was the T3 contest.
Considering this feat, most of the punters came to realise the young hound’s inherent racing skills. He proved his class again by winning another T3 race with the margin of 1¼.
The talented son of Kinloch Brae out of Boozed Angel finished 5th in his last start entitled as A1 420m Flat. This is going to be Kalacan Lad’s maiden A2 race and he is keen to win it at every cost.
It is hoped that the skilled sprinter will unleash enough firepower in the race. The only strong rival who can prove to be dangerous for the rookie runner is Norman Crusader.
The H. Dimmock trained black and white b***h has a decent track record in A2 format of the game, however, she poses to be somewhat inconsistent.
On July 28, the brilliant b***h elegantly won the A3 420m Flat while being the 2-1 hot favourite candidate. She finished as the runner-up in two consecutive A2 races during the last month. The daughter of Brett Lee out of Droopys Darina stood third in her
last outing on September 5.
The veteran b***h is likely to show sufficient resistance against the dog, but she cannot bar him from finishing first. Overall, a rip-roaring contest is expected between the two worthy hounds. Let us move to the venue to seek some entertain from the heated
action. Good luck to all the contestants.
