The striker’s contract ended on the 30th of June with the club and as a result, he is now a free agent.
Kalou is currently in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/United-States-c3034, as he is looking to come to terms with what he wants to do in the future and just what he is going to do from here on. He participated in a friendly game, where he played alongside Steve Nash.
Following the game, Kalou revealed that he was still buzzing over the Champions League win and admitted that it was a memory that would stick with him forever.
"The Champions League, every footballer dreams of that," he said.
"It's such a great competition and a lot of big players have gone without winning the Champions League.”
"It is a moment in my career that I'll remember forever."
He did go on to hint that perhaps he could settle down in the MLS, but didn’t manage to give too much away. Kalou was partially joking while making his comments, but in all seriousness a move to MLS might turn out to be rather great for the striker.
He jokingly went on to state:"You never know, maybe I can play here [in New York]. Why not? I love the city."
He later on went on to admit that it was hard for him to really figure out what he wanted to do at the moment, since he just wanted to enjoy his time off. However, he admitted that he was going to focus on where to go and what team to play for in the near
future.
"Right now, it's hard to say because right now I'm here to enjoy my holiday," he said. "After that, I will decide my future."
With the striker having ample Premier League and Champions League experience, he could easily settle down into any European side. Despite that fact, a move to the MLS is also potentially on the cards, for the former Chelsea attacker.
