Kamran Akmal denies latest claims by Zulqarnain Haider
Dropped Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman, Kamran Akmal, has denied claims by Zulqarnain Haider, that his father-in-law is involved in match-fixing.
The former wicketkeeper Haider, escaped from Dubai leaving behind the whole team during the One Day International (ODI) series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in 2010. He claimed that he was insecure, as he was getting life threatening calls from bookmakers.
According to him, he could not risk his life and had to fly to United Kingdom, where he could be protected against such attempts.
However, now he has returned to Pakistan after getting assurances about his protection by the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board (PCB) and Government of Pakistan.
After his arrival in the country, Haider has been stunned by the statement made by the wicketkeeper batsman, Kamran Akmal’s father-in-law about him being one of the main bookmakers and match-fixers in the country.
Kamran condemned the news and denied his father-in-law made any such statement.
Now, Zulqarnain Haider is facing charges from Kamran Akmal's father-in-law.
According to reports, Kamran has said that he, nor anyone from his family, can ever make such a controversial and negative remark about any cricketer. He added that he belongs to a respectable family and they cannot even think about such a cheap and unethical
act.
While talking to the media, Kamran has appealed to the government and PCB to inquire about the main culprit and penalize him for such an illicit action.
Kamran added that Zulqarnain Haider had made a big accusation. But he said that he will not make any comment on it until and unless he discusses the matter with his adviser, Saud Cheema.
Kamran added that during his interaction with Haider in Domestic and International cricket, he never had any tiffs with the runaway wicketkeeper. He said that he has failed to understand why Haider is blaming his family member for these allegations.
