Andrei Kanchelskis has advised the Cote d’Ivoire striker to join the English Premier League giants during the January transfer window
Andrei Kanchelskis, who ended his playing career in Russia after recording memorable evenings at Manchester City and Manchester United, has advised Anzhi Makhachkala’s Lacina Traore to grab the opportunity to join Liverpool FC
with both hands.
“Traore has everything in order to start playing in England. For Liverpool it will be a good buy especially considering the current state of affairs in the team.”
“I think any player can hardly refuse a great premier league side as Liverpool. And I think we should not compare his current club with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 because there is a huge difference between these two championships.”
“To compare these two clubs is just ridiculous.” The European Super Cup Winner was quoted as saying.
The Reds have enquired about the 23-year-old after the mercurial forward notched the winner in the UEFA Europa League tie against the Dagestani club at Dynamo stadium (Makhachkala).
Traore’s agent, Dmitry Selyuk, himself confirmed that the Merseyside club along with Udinese have registered firm interest in his client after holding talks about the player’s future.
There is little arguing to the statement that Traore, who joined Anzhi after leaving Kuban Krasnodar last January, is enjoying a decent spell at the Makhachkala-based club after scoring 8 goals in 12 league appearances so far this
season.
But the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/CFR-Cluj-c38778 player will only be able to help Brendan Rodgers' men in the European tournament if they managed to reach the knock-out stages of the ongoing competition.
Having already reiterated a desire to play in England, the 6 foot 8 inches attacker could prove himself as a missing piece of the jigsaw for Rodgers, who missed out on signing any worthy replacement after sending Andy Carroll out-on-loan
to West Ham United this summer.
However, the former Reading FC boss will have to teach Traore, who served a three-match ban after hitting an FC Ural’s player in the Russian Cup competition, a lot of discipline along with the prerequisites that are considered
essential in the English championship.
