Kane retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Edge when the match finished in a draw. Kane was able to connect with a chokeslam, but Edge was able to kick out. The Big Red Machine was ready to finish him off with a Tombstone Piledriver but Edge was able to free himself and hit a spear. Both men laid on their backs when Edge put his arm over Kane who did the same. The referee made the count and ring announcer Tony Chimel announced that Edge was the new champion. However, the referee quickly corrected him and said that the match was a draw and Kane kept the title.
