The former Pakistan captain, Mushtaq Mohammad, is extremely disheartened by the ban imposed on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Danish-Kaneria-c1314 and expressed that some of the current lot of players have brought a bad name to the country.

In 2010, the spot-fixing saga came to the limelight when Pakistani fast bowlers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Asif-c1993 were found involved in bowling deliberate no-balls in England, on advice of their skipper, Salman Butt.
The trio was later banned by the International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625) for various terms.
Pakistan cricket faced another setback last week when the Karachi-born spinner was banned by the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Essex-c783.
While talking to Pakpassion, the former captain expressed that the current generation of players have destroyed Pakistan’s image in world cricket and feels that most of the present-day cricketers play for money instead of pride.
“The Kaneria episode is another sad and embarrassing chapter for Pakistan cricket. It seems to be one thing after another for Pakistan cricket which has been heavily dented by these players found guilty in the past year or so,” Mushtaq said.
The 68-year-old is considered to be one of the pioneers of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 cricket as he captained the national team in 1970s and played a massive role in making the Green Shirts a force at the ultimate level of the sport.
The former coach of the national team, who hails from the famous ‘Mohammad family’, further added that majority of the cricketers from Pakistan come from humble backgrounds and they fail to resist to the temptations, when exposed to lucrative opportunities.
"The majority of cricketers in Pakistan come from poor backgrounds and when they come into the cricketing limelight and see all of this money floating around and the riches that are on offer then sadly temptation gets the better of them," he said.
