Next week I'll be in KC for 2 days while my husband is in training classes. I plan to go to the Liberty Memorial, Hallmark Crown Center and Legends at Village West. We have been to the museums at the converted KC station. Which of the other stuff should I try to see? What about Cave Springs?

  1. Nelson-Atkins is by far better than the others.  Also the plaza - which is right across from the museum has lots of great shops and beautiful fountains as well as some of the best restaurants in the state.

  2. Nelson-Atkins is by far the best  while visiting the liberty memorial check out the WW2  museum

  3. Nelson Atkins is the best.  You should also check out the Arabia Steamboat museum, and the ***** League Hall of Fame (Baseball).  If you are going shopping, skip the Village west and go to the Country Club Plaza instead.  It is a lot classier and has way more culture and history in Kansas City.  AND of course, you must get some BBQ while you are here.  There are plenty of places to choose from and everyone has their favorite.  Gates BBQ and Arthur Bryant's are by far the most recognizable in KC, but in my opinion, Oklahmoa Joe's has the best.  Try several places and make your own opinion.  Have fun!  KC is a great place.
