Kansas City Royals have taken many bold steps this offseason. They brought new game plan as well as some new faces in the franchise. Nevertheless, the Royals now feel quite confident going into a new Major League Baseball season.

James Shields last played for the Tampa Bay Rays and achieved good numbers. He showed consistent plays and went hitting at 3.52 ERA along with 15-10 win-loss, 223 strikeouts and 1.17 WHIP.
His career stats have also been consistent since his arrival in the league with 3.89 ERA along with 87-73 win-loss, 1250 strikeouts and 1.22 WHIP.
Experts believe that this will be healthy sign for the Kansas City Royals as Shield possesses right kind of abilities to lead them into the majors.
