Kansas City Royals floor Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 to complete series sweep – MLB Update
Kansas City Royals continued to show improvement in their game play as they beat Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday, June 14 in the finale of their three match series of the 2012 Major League Baseball regular season.
Credit must be given to Ned Yost and company for showing incredible pressure handling ability throughout the series. The Royals secured a narrow 2-1 win in series opener and they stunned the Brewers 4-3 in the second game. It will be interesting to see if
they can continue their resurgence in their upcoming games to have any chance of making it to the playoffs this season.
Ryan Braun had an excellent time with the bat as he homered to left in the fourth inning to provide the Brewers with a perfect. Eric Hosmer displayed some high quality hitting skills for the Royals as hit a huge home run to right centre field in the sixth
to help Kansas City come back from behind to snatch 2-1 lead.
"I don't know what happened! They didn't do a real good job of showing it on TV," Yost said with a broad smile in the moments afterward. "Frenchy and I were watching it on TV and started pushing each other, and all of a sudden, Dyson is sliding across home
plate."
"Ned had to pull me back because I was going to run out there and celebrate," Jeff Francoeur said in a post game interview. "He had to remind me that you can't go back down there after you've been thrown out."
Aramis Ramirez homered to left centre in the seventh and Cody Ransom earned an RBI single to left in the eighth to get the Brewers out of jail. However, it was the Royals who prevailed in a nail biting encounter with Brayan Pena deliver an RBI single to
tie the game and Jarrod Dyson drove in a go ahead run to secure an emphatic win for his team.
Royals relief pitcher Tim Collins pitched a perfect ninth inning to play key role in deciding the result of the game.
