Kansas City Royals shutout by Chicago White Sox – MLB Update

Kansas City Royals lost to Chicago White Sox 0-5 at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, May 11 in the opening game of their three match series of the 2012 Major League Baseball regular season. The win will be of great importance for the White
Sox who were 16-16 going into the season.
Starting pitcher Gavin Floyd displayed some high quality throwing skills as he pitched six scoreless innings to help his team take complete control of the situation.
Floyd has looked in commanding form since the start of the season and he has allowed just four runs in his last 28 innings. It will be interesting to see if the right hander can continue his dream run throughout this season to help his team win important
games.
Adam Dunn put up a fine show in hitting department of the game as he homered to the right in the first inning. The White Sox continued to play aggressively and they added runs in the third, sixth and the seventh to demoralise the Royals.
"I'm definitely not where I want to be. This is one of those starts to a season I expect to do," Dunn said. "There are a lot of things for me personally that I want to work on and get better."
"To me, strikeouts, I get as mad as anyone. I'm not going to change my approach or what I'm going to do unless the situation dictates that," Dunn said. "If it's first inning, two outs, nobody on, I'm not going to get off my approach. I'm still trying to
look for something to drive, whether it's 2-0 or 0-2."
By getting over the .500 win percentage mark, Chicago would be certainly feeling very confident about their game play. Without a shadow of a doubt, the White Sox have the required resources to beat even in the best in their division.
If they can give results on regular basis in their upcoming games, the White Sox will have an excellent chance to make it to the playoffs. Demonstrating their bullpen strength, the White Sox did not allow their opponents to score a single run.
