  1. I am in commercial real estate appraisal in kansas city. The climate, if you mean weather, is generally moderate, 4 season weather, warm in the summer, cold in the winter. The climate, if you mean business, is experiencing a slight upturn in anticipation of recent successes in TIF projects to revitalize the downtown area. Ten major federal highways, including three interstates (I-70, I-35, and I-29), serve the Kansas City area.  Commuter time is relatively short for a major city.  Twenty commercial airlines provide service to the Kansas City International Airport (KCI), and 270 non-stop flights depart from the airport daily.  KCI is the largest air-cargo airport in the six-state Midwest region.  Ten trunk-line railroads serve the area, which is the second-largest rail center in the country. With over 100 Class I and II motor carriers, Kansas City ranks among the top ten trucking centers in the nation.  Kansas City has one of the lowest costs of living compared to similarly sized Midwest cities.   The housing market, like in most areas, has leveled off somewhat in the last few months but construction of new subdivisions remain strong particularly in the Overaland Park Kansas, Olathe Kansas and Lee's Summit Missouri locations.  Good Luck.
